Wanderlust
My first post as it really is about time that I started putting 'pen to paper', so to speak.
After watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty yet again, I still love it and still every time it challenges me. Why am I here, what am I doing, why am I doing it, is there a bigger purpose or am I right on track, so many questions.
I also finally watched the movie 'Tracks' last night, the following quote from the movie has stuck with me:
As Adler says: "I think when you are truly stuck, when you have stood still in the same spot for too long, you throw a grenade in exactly the spot you were standing in, and jump, and pray. It is the momentum of last resort."
I moved to Australia nearly 4 years ago, and I can relate to the quote due to doing just that. Selling my business, leaving my friends and family and restarting at 32 in a new country, job and finding new friends. It leads me to ask, 'where does time go?', too fast as far as I am concerned, we need to make sure we enjoy it more, embrace the moments and seize the opportunities!
Enough rambling from me, the key points are.. If you are young get out and travel! If you haven't watch Walter Mitty or Tracks or Wild, watch them!
Excited now for all my travel ahead... NZ, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane I will be seeing you all for some travel memories soon... :-)
